CS GROUP – ROMANIA is thrilled to announce that its TAO-based Data Processing as a Service implementation has been officially included in the ESA NoR (Network of Resources) and APEx (Application Propagation Environments) catalogues. In addition to EO processing services, the NoR onboarding also includes TAO’s User Algorithm Hosting capabilities.
The ESA NoR initiative provides users with access to European EO cloud services and infrastructures, while APEx focuses on accelerating the transition from EO research activities to operational cloud-based services and fair-compliant implementations.
This achievement represents an important step in expanding access to advanced EO cloud-processing and orchestration capabilities for the wider Earth Observation community.
TAO provides a flexible cloud-native environment for EO workflow orchestration, distributed processing and User Algorithm Hosting. The platform enables users to integrate EO processing services, deploy custom algorithms and operationalize scalable processing chains for Earth Observation applications.
The platform supports a broad range of EO services dedicated to agriculture and environmental monitoring, leveraging Sentinel and Landsat data to generate products such as vegetation indicators, crop type maps, burned area assessments and agricultural practices monitoring services.
In addition to ready-to-use EO processing services, TAO also enables users to visually build and orchestrate their own workflows while integrating custom Python and R algorithms into scalable cloud environments.
Through its inclusion in these initiatives, TAO strengthens its role as an interoperable and operational platform supporting innovation across the European Earth Observation ecosystem.
